Certificate Programme in
Excellence in Anti-Human Trafficking Response
BACKGROUND
This certificate program is geared towards existing practitioners engaged in anti-human trafficking work who are looking to improve the effectiveness of their projects. Graduates of this program will be able to better understand the situation of human trafficking in the Greater Mekong Subregion and have a set of tools to respond to the problem in light of best practices in community development and key components of organizational success. They will also engage critically with challenges to success and learn pathways to greater effectiveness through partnership and collaboration, research, and other best practices for engagement with their beneficiaries and external partners and stakeholders.
OBJECTIVES
- To provide knowledge and understanding on the general topic of Organizational Development to help improve the effectiveness of anti-trafficking organizations;
- To introduce participants to the basic building blocks of starting and operating an effective anti-trafficking organization through understanding basic principles and tools of community development in the context of human trafficking in the Greater Mekong Subregion;
- To enable participants to identify common challenges to successful response, and understand and implement best practices for greater organizational and programmatic effectiveness;
- To encourage participants to innovate more effective responses to human trafficking through research, partnership, and collaboration;
- To ensure that organizations and their activities are not only effective, but also ethical in the way in which they go about their responses.
